is one of the most famous outdoor festivals of the last 25 years.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Some of the most prestigious bands and performers have played its famous stages.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;In 2005 153,000 people attended &lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;Glastonbury&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; and it had a turnover of £18 million, of which, 1.3 million was donated to charity.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;Glastonbury&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; brings £15 million a year to the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;Somerset&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; economy, generating very welcome income for the village near the Vale of Avalon in which it is held.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Project supported have included building social housing and a community village hall for its neighbours.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;Glastonbury&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; is the highlight of the festival year and it still continues to grow in numbers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;With all that said it was no wonder why the talk&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; with &lt;/span&gt;&lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;Glastonbury&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt;’s founder Michael Eavis, was the high light of the BCUC 2006 Enterprise Week.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Supported by Sennheiser microphones and Shuttlesound ltd., the evening, the evening began with an acoustic performance by singer, songwriter, Guy Valarino.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;This was followed by the main event, with Michael answering&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; questions from BCUC’s Head of Music &amp; Entertainment, Frazer Mackenzie.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The first topic was the history of Glastonbury and how it got started.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Michael went on to explain the charity work&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; Glastonbury does, both inside and outside the UK.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;He talked exclusively about plans for&lt;/span&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.solarnavigator.net/music/musicimages/glastonbury_stage_sanyo_2003.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; Glastonbury 2007, which included more&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span lang="EN-GB"&gt; transport for the expected larger attendance (likely to be 180,000!) and the new photo ID for all entry tickets.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The talk was then rounded off by a question and answer session, where the audience got to ask Michael much-awaited questions.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Theses included what he does in his spare time and whether arranging Glastonbury every year was still fun, after so long.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;To which he replied ‘yes’! Showcasing much of their new material, the band played an arousing set to a 300 strong crowd.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Supporting Sevenball was 'The Wutars' playing their last gig with the original line-up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The night was part of a series of gigs that Sevenball are playing in the lead up to the band's appearance on INFX Record's internaltional realease 'When Worlds Collide'&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The album will be launched on 2nd May 2006 at Ninety Three Feet East, Bricklane. After the success of the roadblock Mistletoe Madness Parts 1&amp;2, the event has turned into the annual festive wind down for the students of BCUC.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The White room was hosted by 'Hanz the Man' and vibes on the night came courtesy of 1Xtra and Channel U award winning DJ's Ace and Invisable. Also supplying the finest Hip Hop, R&amp;amp;B, Bashment and Garage were Spark E Devious and Charlie Brown.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Student Bar, played host to the regular Xmas Party scene.
